Rising from the Flood Waters

For years and through uncertainties, and even a global pandemic, we of Oakhurst Presbyterian have supported our vulnerable brothers and sisters in the Decatur area through the devastating storms of homelessness and the shame and food insecurity it creates. We have done this through support for Hagar’s House, the only center in the greater Decatur area that has provided housing, meals and other aid to homeless women and their children.

This past fall, Hagar’s House was severely damaged by the massive rain and flooding created by Hurricane Helene, leaving it uninhabitable. During the months of March and April we are asking you to consider giving to our Rising from the Flood Waters appeal that will go towards the funds needed to repair the extensive damage. We have set an Oakhurst goal of $10,000 and have already received $2500 in commitments before launching this appeal.

You can give by check, clearly marking Hagar’s House Appeal, in the memo line, or by clicking on the link below.
